FIRE crews have rescued three vehicles from floodwater across Somerset today (Thursday, May 2).
Some areas of Somerset were hit by floods after yesterday’s heavy downpour.
The fire service said they had to rescue three cars that got stuck in floodwater in Wellington, Bradford on Tone, and Donyatt.
A spokesperson for the Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service said: “We had three rescues from cars in floodwater today, the one on Nynehead Road, Wellington (several other vehicles also got stuck at this location, but the occupants did not require rescuing), Lower Stoford Lane, Bradford on Tone, and Stibbear Lane, Donyatt. No one was harmed.”
